Curriculum

Madina Islamic School curriculum is an integrated curriculum, School core curriculum (Islamic Value), International curriculum and National standard curriculum namely DIKNAS. Placing Al Qur’an and As Sunnah as the ‘core’ and the ‘ultimate’ guidance and source of all skills, knowledge and academic competency, with the process of Islamic of Knowledge, Science, way of life and culture.

Kindergarten

We Designed A Curriculum Appropriate To The Needs Of Early Childhood Both Physically And Psychologically. We Also Use Variety Teaching Method Such As : Montessori, Inquiry Based Learning, Active Learning With A Personal Approach.

Primary

Primary Curriculum Gives Students The Basic Foundation Of Writing, Reading, Counting And Religion, In Additiona, Each Student Is Encouraged To Take Part In Sport And Develop His/Her Artistic Skill.

  • Tahfidz :
    Tahfidz In The Primary Level Is Targeted 18 Juz For Those Who Join Madina Islamic School Since The 1st Grade, While Those Who Join In The Upper Class Will Targeted Proportionally In Accordance With The Time When The Student Registered.
  • Arabic Languages:
    Students In The Primary School Learn Arabic, Comprising Of Listening, Speaking, Writing And Reading.
  • Islamic Studies:
    Along With Arabic, This Is A Vital Sector Of The Student’s Learning Process. Students Learn The Five Pillars Of Islam, The Foundation Of Islam And Learn To Recite Verses From The Holy Qur’an. Islamic Studies Is Arranged In Four Standards : Aqeedah, Seerah, Fiqh And Hadist.
  • English:
    Students Are Encouraged To Use Their English Skills, Regardless To What Language Their Family Speak. This Daily Curriculum Comprises Of Listening, Reading And Writing. Students Are Also Taught Both Handwriting And Spelling Skills.
  • Mathematics:
    This Subject Includes Memorizing And Manipulating, Measurement, Space, Chance And Data. The Teaching Methods Of Implementing Mathematics In The Curriculum Comprises Of Using Various Techniques And Practical Equipment Competence In Mathematics Enhances The Quality Of Our Participation In Society.
  • Science:
    The Subject Is Taught Either As A Stand-Alone Unit Or Part Of An Integrated Approach. We Aim To Introduce Students To Skills That Will Improve Their Understanding And Linking Of The Subject In Preparation For Secondary Years. We Encourage Students To Develop Skills Through Observation And Experimentation, By Placing Emphasis On Appropriate Scientific Language And Methods.
  • Studies Of Society And The Environtment (SOSE):
    This Subject Is Taught Through And Integrated Approach Where The Student’s Knowledge Of Society, Culture And Environment Is Built On. SOSE Provides A Framework For The Development Of Students’ Knowledge And Understanding Of Indonesian Society, Societies On Other Countries, Local And Global Environments.
  • Information Technology:
    Students Are Exposed To Computer Studies Guided By IT Teachers. Student’s Skils And Confidence In Using Computer Is Passed To Students Through The Use Of Literacy And Innumeracy Software, Which Supports Various Key Learning Areas. Computer Technology Is Used As A Tool To Enhance Learning Experiences Across All Areas Of The Curriculum.
  • Art Education:
    Creative Art Allows Students To Explore Their Imagination Through The Use Of Design, Color And Texture. All Students Are Valued As An Individual And Each Of Their Artwork Is Appreciated In Its Own Right.
  • Physical Education (PE):
    All Students Are Encouraged To Participate In Our Physical Education Program That Enhances Their Health, Movement And Hand/Eye Coordination.

Secondary

The Secondary Level Is Divided Into Two Sections. Junior (Years 7-9) And Senior (Years 10-12). The Junior Section Aims To Provide Students With Diverse Experiences. To Develop Their Skills And Attitudes. From These Experiences, A Solid Foundation Is Established For Their VCE Studies.

  • Tahfidz :

It Is Provided Throughout The Primary And Secondary Years In The Classroom, In Worship And Through The Experience Of Living Together In A Community Where Islamic Values Are Emphasized. MIS Welcomes Pupils From Different Cultural Backgrounds And It Expects Every Pupils To Pray ‘Shalat Dzuhur’ In The School Mosque Each Day. Moreover, They Are To Acquire Some Understanding Of Islamic Beliefs And Values Through A Study Of The Holy Qur’an And In Particular The Life And Work The Prophet Mohammad (SAW).
